Indonesia

Erepublik of Indonesia is originally an archipelago country in South East Asia which lies along the equator between Asia and Australia, and also between Pacific and Indian Ocean. After April 18th, Australia became part of Indonesia.

Indonesia is neighbored with Thailand in the north and South Africa in the west. As an archipelago country, Indonesia is surrounded by sea, therefore it has no land border with the other Erepublik countries.

Indonesia consists of 14 regions:

1. Java (Jawa) with the capital Jakarta
2. Kalimantan (Indonesian Borneo) with the capital Samarinda
3. Lesser Sunda islands (Nusa Tenggara and Bali) with the capital Mataram
4. Maluku islands (the Moluccas) with the capital Ambon
5. New South Wales with the capital Canberra
6. Northern Teritorry with the capital Darwin
7. Papua (Indonesian New Guinea) with the capital Jayapura
8. Queensland with the capital Brisbane
9. South Australia with the capital Adelaide
10. Sulawesi (Celebes) with the capital Palu

The capital of Indonesia is Jakarta, where almost a half of the Indonesian population resides there.

Population

Currently the population of Indonesia is the largest in Erepublik world.
The citizen of Indonesia are mostly real Indonesian, with several people also comes from neigbouring Malaysia and perhaps other countries as well. After Australia joined with Indonesia, several Australian stayed in Australian region of Indonesia. The condition in real world Indonesia, where corruption and natural disaster are abound is Indonesian background. Thus to make a better country is the motivation for citizen of Erepublik of Indonesia.

The first population boom in Indonesia started at December 15th, 2007. The second population boom started during and after the Indonesia Australia war, in mid April 2008.
Language

The official languange is Bahasa Indonesia or Indonesian language, mostly written in informal form. Other people who speaks English can be understood by most Indonesians, however, in general, not many people can write in English fluently. Currently there are efforts to translate Indonesian articles in English to accomodate Australian.
Economy

Indonesia is one of the countries with high Gross Domestic Product and also have a large sum in their treasury. Their strongest sector is Food production. This also lead into competitions and price wars in several countries such as in United Kingdom, Japan, and Iran. However, this also leads into a deflation crisis within Indonesian market.

Indonesia currently has 9 political parties. The 6 major in the Congress are:

1. Indonesian Defensive Socialist (IDS) is the largest with socialist orientation, currently they are the ruling party.
2. Narcissist (NCS) is the oldest party and also the second largest. With their liberal-democratic orientation, they are the first who set up the Indonesian government.
3. Partai Rakyat Merdeka (PRM) has a liberal-nationalistic orientation, and often in coalition with Narcissist.
4. Amazing Great Indonesian Party (AGIP) at first was established to balance the power of Narcissist. This nationalistic party currently has small number of member.
5. Partai Komunis eIndonesia (PKI). The communism ideology brought by this party is a reminder to the past conflict with Communist in real world Indonesia.
6. The Australian Indonesian Party (AIP), the party established for Australian living in Indonesia.

The other parties are Legion of Love, Undies Party, and Nasionalis Anti Zeonis eIndonesia.
International

Indonesia has an active diplomatic activity. Several embassies were established in Japan, Bulgaria, Norway, USA, UK, Brazil, Portugal, and Sweden.
The most prominent diplomatic activity was the Non Aggression Agreement between Indonesia and Pakistan, and recently was upgraded to a Mutual Protection Pact.
Indonesia can also use political take over to other countries, such as China in February 2008 and South Africa in May 2008.

Indonesian MPP with Germany and Russia trigerred an attack to both countries by Sweden and Norway.
Military

Indonesia has the second largest military force in Erepublik, with more than 1900 soldiers.
Angkatan Bersenjata Erepublik Indonesia (ABeRI) is the military organisation system implemented by Indonesia to manage soldiers and logistics needed during war.
With enough money in their treasury to wage war, Indonesia is one of the superpowers in Erepublik world.
In April 2008, Indonesia declared a war against Australia, it ended with all Australian territories taken by Indonesia.

Indonesian paratroopers, known as BATIK also dispatched in Russia to help against Norwegian invasion.
Media

Indonesia has an active media sector. With news turn over that could made a news disappear within a few hours from the recent news list, most of Indonesian news are already an Erepublik news, thanks to the scrutiny of censorship from Ministry of Media.
Nonetheless there are some junk news still published by newbies.
Prominent newpapers in Erepublik are Pikirin Rakyat (domestic news in Bahasa Indonesia), Dunia Dalam Berita (international news in Bahasa Indonesia), [STAR] Magazine and also Berita Sehat (domestic news in English).
